Criminal Defense Attorney at Lowell, MA

Founding partner, Attorney Scott Bratton was raised in Greater Lowell receiving a Bachelor of Science in business management from the University of Lowell then attending Suffolk Law School in Boston graduating with honors receiving his juris doctorate cum laude. Attorney Bratton concentrates in the areas of criminal defense, personal injury and business litigation and has won hundreds of jury trials in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and the Federal Courts. 

His first case as a young lawyer was won in the Lowell District Court on a Fourth Amendment issue defending the Second Amendment rights of his client, which was later appealed to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court by the Middlesex District Attorney’s office. After a full argument before the SJC Attorney Bratton was successful in defending his client in Commonwealth v. Couture (407 Mass. 178, 1990). The Mass Attorney General appealed Bratton’s victory to the US Supreme Court where Atty Bratton won by defeating the Government’s appeal.

Attorney Bratton then successfully tried and defended the first homicide case on Court TV receiving a not guilty verdict from the Middlesex County Superior Court on National TV. 

Bratton has successfully sued and received several multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements in cases involving deaths and severe injuries of people from medical malpractice, automobile crashes and truck driver negligence, including one litigated in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire under The Hague Convention against a Canadian trucking company. 

Bratton successfully argued before the New Hampshire Supreme Court defending the First Amendment rights of a prominent motorcycle club in connection with Bike Week in Laconia. 

Attorney Bratton represented the relative of a sitting US President charged with OUI in Massachusetts resulting in the dismissal of the case.

Bratton defended a college student in New Hampshire who was wrongfully accused by the New Hampshire Attorney General of voting twice in the 2016 presidential election. The case was featured on National Public Radio.

Attorney Bratton with Attorney Springer represented a concert promoter in Montreal against a world-renowned pop artist for breach of contract in Los Angeles before the American Arbitration Association and received an award of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Bratton also serves as the litigation director for several multimillion-dollar corporations, initiating and defending lawsuits on their behalf in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Federal Court.
